Siteworks 2018 | Micro

Little things mean a lot

Shift your mind from big ideas and let yourself think small for a change. At Siteworks this year we narrowed the view and saw what comes into focus when we turn our attention to the miniature and microscopic.

Tiny gods, dancing spiders, microbes in both the soil and your gut. Artists included Maria Fernanda Cardoso, Emily Hunt, Helen Pynor, Patrick Nolan with Dancenorth, One Step at a Time Like This, Theatre Kantanka and Deborah Kelly.

All of this and more was explored at Bundanon’s annual spring event that brings scientists, artists and community voices together to share knowledge and ideas arising from the Bundanon sites through discussions, presentations and experiences.

As always, there were artworks, talks, workshops, kids’ activities, food, drink, camping, inspiration, stimulation, gustation and relaxation. This year we even added a shuttle bus service to and from the event.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
