Paul Dempsey

This is a rare opportunity to see Paul Dempsey’s solo acoustic show in the breath-taking open-air setting at the Boyd Education Centre, Illaroo NSW overlooking the Shoalhaven river.

Paul Dempsey is known to most as the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of highly successful Australian band, Something for Kate which released six top 10 platinum and gold records. Dempsey carved out the time to write music for his own solo project, which has been an incredible success. Since then Paul has become renowned for his incredible voice and generosity on stage as a solo live acoustic performer, captivating audiences around the globe.

“I am really looking forward to playing at Riversdale in January. I’m always excited to visit new parts of the country and play in new places. I have never seen the Shoalhaven River before, I love outdoor events in picturesque locations and I love all-ages events so this is really ticking every box, it’s going to be great!”, Dempsey said.

Having spent a jam-packed 2018 touring the world and writing new material for the forthcoming Something For Kate album, Australian music legend Paul Dempsey will take to the stage at Riversdale, performing songs from across his vast catalogue.

Don’t miss out on this live concert.

Paul Dempsey retains his place as one of Australia’s best songwriters….immediately pleasing, but never predictable. It seems like Dempsey never takes the easy option when writing songs and it means that the songs have an extra kind of depth.’ Double J

Paul Dempsey’s finest hour…Strange Loop sounds like the love child of Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Ryan Adams & Wilco – quite a musical orgy…  Saturday Telegraph
