Moirai Ensemble perform at the Homestead

Join us for this special performance by artists in residence, The Moirai Ensemble.

Melbourne-based Moirai brings together three versatile and creative musicians bursting with new ideas on collaboration and improvisation. Moirai binds old and new music into dynamic and innovative performance experiences. Their fascination with folk, medieval and contemporary music gives space to explore a shared curiosity for unusual rhythms and sounds.

In residence at Bundanon, the trio are collaborating with improviser-composer Chloe Kim to create a new work, the centrepiece of the performance. The work promises to be a rhythmic-driven exploration of contrasts and possibilities, paired seamlessly with a program of ancient dance music reworked to have your toes tapping and sensibilities moved.

The performance will be outdoors on the front lawn of the Homestead. Limited table seating available, please bring a rug. Soup, coffee and drinks will also be available to purchase on the day.
