Human/Nature
How & why we think about the natural world the way we do

with Jane Rawson

Join award-winning author Jane Rawson as she reimagines a more honest, loving connection with the natural world.

Ever wondered if humans are ruining nature, if there’s a better way to belong, or if it’s possible to love both the environment and your cat? You’re not alone.

Award-winning author Jane Rawson once left her inner-city home for the bush, seeking refuge from climate change. But in the wild, she was forced to confront her uneasy relationship with nature. Through her personal journey and insights from philosophy, history, and art, Rawson explores how our cultural beliefs shape our view of the environment.

Don’t miss this insightful interrogation of how we love and connect with nature chaired by Fenella Kernebone, Head of Conference for SXSW Sydney.
