With Matt O’Brien

Conversations within the Landscape | Explore deeper observation and natural elements with artist Matt O’Brien.

In this workshop explore the natural elements, working on a series of field studies to experiment with new ideas, techniques and observations. 

Matt O’Brien is a multi-disciplinary artist from the Northern Rivers of NSW on Bundjalung Country. Matt’s experimental practice works across drawing, painting and technology, examining, responding to the Australian landscape and dialogues of place. 

 


 

Artmaking at the Homestead Series

Be inspired by the striking landscape of Bundanon’s Homestead site with a series of artmaking workshops led by different Artists in Residence. Spread over 1000 hectares, this beautiful setting of the Shoalhaven River and rugged bushland has featured in many of Arthur Boyd’s works and inspired artists in residence for decades.

The Homestead is situated a 20-minute drive from the Art Museum with access via an unsealed road.
