THE FERAL AMONGST US

Saturday 26 September 2015

In 2015 we looked at the feral amongst us: the thing that does not belong. How do we decide what is ‘natural’ and what is out of place?

There were feral talks, feral walks and feral interventions by artists all over the Riversdale property.

Afternoon talks unpacked the various meanings of 'feral'. What is the effect of alien species on a habitat? When does an alien become natural? What do you do when an endangered species become dependent on a major weed? How should we humans coexist with animals and plants? Are humans the most feral animal of them all?
