PLAN YOUR VISIT - Discover mythological narratives and stories of migration with 'Tales of Land & Sea' (2 March - 16 June 2024)

Bundanon

Siteworks is a project that invites us not only to apprehend, but also to experience the interconnectedness of nature and culture, art and science, history and geology; to appreciate the wonder of the world. Geologists, biologists, cultural geographers, artists, farmers, musicians, storytellers, live artists, futurists, inventors, ecologists and community members interested in the life of the planet come together to think, to eat, to talk and walk together. It’s an experiment in collective thinking and doing that without hubris seeks to develop new ways of living, making and working together. Sarah Miller, SITEWORKS: FIELD GUIDE TO BUNDANON (2014)

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.

This website contains names, images and voices of deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
