Yvonne Weldon is a Wiradjuri woman and maintains strong linkages to her homelands of Cowra and Narrandera. From a young age Yvonne developed an enduring passion and commitment to creating positive change for Aboriginal people and communities.

Whilst in residence Weldon finalised the editing of her first fictional novel, ’67 Days’ and worked on her second novel, ‘Ninny’. ‘Ninny’ brings to life the lived experience of Aboriginal people prior to their being recognised as Australian citizens.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
