Transience

Art Form: Performance

Residency Year: 2011

Lives / Works: Australia

Transience: temporal and spiritual creations is a creative journey exploring past, present and future perceptions of south-eastern Aboriginal peoples in their Country. Drawing upon the Indigenous and non-Indigenous knowledge traditions of art, design, writing and ceremony, the project engages artists, writers and audiences in questions of philosophy and culture.
Transience is a Stella Stories project by Amanda Jane Reynolds and the research and development phase has been supported by the Australia Council for the Arts.

The Bundanon residency in 2011 brought together Maree Clarke, Vicki Couzens, Lee Darroch, Julie Gough, Vicki West and Julie Freeman to discuss concepts and workshop ideas for an exhibition of outdoor ephemeral installations exploring the theme of ‘transience’.
