Talia Smith is an artist and curator of Samoan, Cook Island and New Zealand descent. Her practice uses the mediums of photography and video to examine the emotional and physical traces we leave behind on the landscape, the histories we build and the ruins we leave.

Smith use her time at Bundanon to research the Shoalhaven River, investigating the importance and the multi uses of water to indigenous and settler groups.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
