Susan Wyndham is a freelance journalist and writer. Since joining The Sydney Morning Herald as a cadet journalist, Susan has been a news reporter, feature writer, editor of Good Weekend magazine, New York correspondent for The Australian, a deputy editor of the Herald, and until 2017 the Herald’s literary editor. She is the author of Life In His Hands: the true story of a neurosurgeon and a pianist, contributing editor of My Mother, My Father: on losing a parent, and a contributor to several other books, most recently Rebellious Daughters, edited by Maria Katsonis and Lee Kofman, and unbreakable, edited by Jane Caro. She frequently hosts literary events, judges book awards and reviews other people’s books while also trying to work on her own first novel.

Wyndham was in residence at Bundanon in 2018.
