Sue Broadway – is a director, choreographer and creative producer of circus and physical theatre, with extensive experience in large-scale and site-specific events. She also performs as a clown, compere and eccentric juggler. In 1978 she was a founding member of Circus Oz and went on to perform with them as an aerialist and acrobat until 1984. She then moved to London, where she established her own company: Ra-Ra Zoo.
As a performer, she is half of Batton and Broadway, working with Debra Batton in cabaret venues around Melbourne. She brings to all her projevcts her deep undersanding of performance from both presenter and audience point of view, her broad experience working across disciplines, a strongly collaborative approach and a capacity to communicate with diverse stakeholders including technical, community, professional, council and corporate groups.
Susan intends to spend her residency at Bundanon working on performance event Vaudevillia. A contemporary performance examining the social issues that shaped the boom in Vaudeville between the two world wars.
