Stephanie Kam

Art Forms: Installation, Music/Sound, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2019

Lives / Works: Melbourne, Australia

Stephanie Kam is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans collage, sound, animation, installation and silversmithing while maintaining a low-tech, crude methodology derived from the cheap and easy, humble processes of DIY culture, cult cinema, and technological panic.

During her residency, Kam created a short but looped cut-up stop-motion animation made to be projected onto small silver objects incorporating elements of lost wax casting and hand-forging.
