Residency Years: 2018, 2015

Lives / Works: Sydney, Australia

Paul Williams creates work that links time, space, memory and place using painting and ceramics. Drawing from a broad range of sources, Wiliams’ practice presents a richly layered and ever-expanding archive of ‘things’ coming out of the landscape that he observes and harvests over time.

IN RESIDENCE 2018

In residence at Bundanon, Williams engaged with the rich history of Australian landscape painting, whilst collecting new source material to develop a new body of work for upcoming exhibitions in 2018, including one at Gallery 9 Sydney.

IN RESIDENCE 2015

Williams and Christopher Dolman were in residence in 2015, working on creating a series of new works for two major exhibitions; a group ceramic exhibition at Hazelhurst Regional Art Gallery (2015) and a collaborative project at Wollongong City Art Gallery (2016).
