Matt Bromhead is an artist working primarily in drawing, collage and sculpture.

Chinese Checking was a new group of work that Bromhead polished and shaped at Bundanon, and was based around a series of sculptural maquettes and large-scale collages. Incorporating leathers, marbles, timber, metals, papers and dental floss, the end result was a display of real-time drama of tension-based making.The residency culminated in his exhibition at Wellington St Projects in September 2014.

Bromhead was also in residence at Bundanon in 2012 and 2013.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
