Lucille Martin is an Australian contemporary artist with a long and established professional career in multi-disciplinary work which includes significant community development and participation, higher education, pedagogy and policy advocacy.

IN RESIDENCE 2019

As an artist in residence, Martin explored physical landscape, portrait and self-representation within the Australian landscape and waterways of Bundanon. Themes of the work included ideas of stewardship and governance in nature, bio-diversity, seasonal environments and where the increased dependence of the human species on technology has led to a disappearance in the human drive to connect with nature.

During her residency in 2018, Martin explored physical landscape, portrait and self-representation within the Australian landscape and waterways of Bundanon.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
