Lindy Davies

Lindy Davies is a director, script and performance consultant, actor trainer and an AFI Award winning actress. In 2012 she was a recipient of a two year Australia Council Fellowship to write a book outlining her Approach to Performance.

Lindy’s most recent work as a Director was in Toronto in November 2014 where she was developing a new work based upon the writings of Anne Carson. She also worked with the Stratford Company in Ontario introducing them to her Approach to Performance in October 2014 In Europe she worked at the National Theatre of Slovenia where she directed Howard Barker’s Scenes from an Execution for their 2011-2012 season. In the 2009-2010 Season she directed Thomas Middleton and William Rowley’s The Changeling for the company. Her other work includes: Chichester Festival Theatre: Suzannah Andler (with Julie Christie) Hedda Gabler (with Dame Harriet Walter), Moscow Maly Theatre: Old Times. Lindy was Head of the School of Drama at the former Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne) 1995 - 2006
