Apart from being known as one of the major players on the Australian jazz landscape, having played with Pharoah Sanders, Branford Marsalis, Lionel Loueke, Kurt Elling, Mark Murphy, Larry Goldings, Johnny Griffin, Terri-Lynn Carrington, Mike Nock, Renee Geyer, Tim Rogers and Katie Noonan, double bassist Jonathan Zwartz is also­­ a composer, arranger and songwriter.

Whilst in residence, Zwartz worked on a four movement multi-disciplinary electro/acoustic work for an ensemble. This new work explored ideas of locational context, disconnection and the yearning for connection, and memory and the passing of time through sensory experience of environmental sound.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
