Janine Mikosza is a Melbourne-based writer. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology and also studied and worked as a photo media artist, exploring themes of presence and absence and memory in family snapshots, and exhibiting her work in solo and group shows in Canberra, Perth, and Brisbane.

Mikosza used her time at Bundanon to work on the final chapter of a non-fiction manuscript exploring the psychological space of childhood homes. In ongoing collaboration with Stephanie Jones, the project has since emerged as an exhibition, ‘At Home’, presented at Design Canberra Festival.
