Deanne Butterworth

Art Forms: Choreography, Dance, Performance

Residency Year: 2009

Lives / Works: Melbourne, Australia

Deanne Butterworth is a highly acclaimed Melbourne based dancer and choreographer.

Butterworth used her time at Bundanon to work with two ideas How to Act and Pulling the Structure Apart. They were located in different scenic spaces created through the collection and the construction of objects. She created a moveable space for performing that reflected the environment that it is produced in. How to Act was a solo dance work that was shown in Melbourne in late 2009, and Pulling the Structure Apart was to be an ongoing device for working that may include others.
