Forming in 2007 they recorded a debut EP which saw them gain immediate attention from radio and print media nation wide. On the back of this recording they signed to a local record label, Ivy League and release their debut album 'Bliss Release' in 2010. The album won various awards, including the prestigious Australia Music Prize which is judge by local music industry professionals. They also won Best Album and Best Newcomer at the Australian Independent Record awards, nominated for both Aria and triple j album of the year.
The success carried overseas and the band signed to tastemaker label Infectious in the UK/Europe and Votiv in North America. Since 2011, the band have been touring internationally and building a strong fan base globally. In 2013, the band released their 2nd album 'Dream Cave' and launched it to a sold out performance at the Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid Festival. The album once again was nominated for Australian Music Prize and triple j album of the year.
Alister Wright had heard about Bundanon Residencies and the band agreed that this was the perfect environment to explore creating their 3rd album.
