Belinda Castles is a novelist and writing teacher. Her novels are Hannah and Emil, The River Baptists and Falling Woman.

In 2017 Castles worked on the final stages of writing her fourth novel, ‘Bluebottle’. The novel dealt with notions of family: difficult fathers, teenage sexuality, real estate, beliefs about shared pasts, and loss. It was published by Allen and Unwin in May 2018.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
