Bundanon

Tarek Lakhrissi is a visual artist, poet and writer based in Paris. He writes poetry and develops visual content aiming to challenge language and reflect upon the codification of affects through fiction.

Lakhrissi used the quiet space of Bundanon to reflect upon writing and poetry ahead of his participation in the 22nd Biennale of Sydney: NIRIN, where he presented his short film ‘Out of the Blue’ (2019). Lakhrissi developed a screenplay for the next chapter of the film, relating to themes of utopia, thresholds and queerness, and researched the myths of the wilderness.
