Bundanon

Stephen Harris lectures in the School of Arts, University of New England (NSW, Australia), teaching in the areas of literary studies (specialising in American Literature and Australian Literature) and non-fiction studies.

Whilst Harris was in residence at Bundanon, he explored the different creative possibilities offered through the genre of creative non-fiction. Specifically he investigated the cultural resurgent form of the informal or personal essay, by which writers adopt a variety of literary approaches in the description of factual material. This included accounts of interactions with the natural world.
