Peter Gouldthorpe’s illustrations can be seen in popular picture books as Paul Jennings’ Grandad’s Gift, Gary Crew’s First Light, Hist! by C.J.Dennis and Libby Hathorn’s The Wonder Thing.

Almost 400 school children and teachers from 11 local primary schools enjoyed a Book Week presentation by Gouldthorpe from Tasmania,one of Australia’s most versatile and skilful illustrators. Gouldthorpe created spontaneous drawings based on subject matter suggested by the children and also discussed the process and inspiration behind his illustration and writing.
