Bundanon

Julia Robertson is an actor, theatre maker and Performing Arts teacher from Sydney, Australia.

In 2019 Robertson was in residence with Chika Ikogwe, an actor and writer. Together, they approached their collaborative residency aiming to compare and contrast their cultural history and differing experiences as young Australian women, specifically with the goal of unpacking the internal racism that continues to exist in Africa and Australia today. Both negotiating the expectations of parents who made great sacrifices for their children, the artists interrogated ways in which they might redefine modern Australian identity.
