Frank Mainoo used his residency in 2011 to undertake research development for a new project centred on themes surrounding globalisation and post-colonialism, drawing from his travel diaries of his travels across Europe and Africa. Combining visual performance, still images and videos as well as bringing to bear accounts of personal experiences and the critical insights of contemporary theorists who have analysed the phenomena of globalisation and post-colonialism.

Mainoo was in residence at Bundanon in 2011.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
