Read MoreAnne Ferran has been exhibiting since the 1980s. More than twenty years ago she began working with material and textual residues of Australia’s colonial past, probing them for gaps and silences. Her projects have drawn on museum collections, archives, libraries, landscapes and historic sites, and focus on the significance of those remains for the present. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, fellowships and grants, and her photographic and video work has been widely collected by public institutions.
During her residencies at Bundanon, one project Ferran worked on was a detailed visual investigation into the library of Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. In 2016, Ferran published her work in a 72 page artist book titled ‘Artist’s Library’, designed by Chris Anderson.
Ferran has been in residence at Bundanon in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.
