Belvoir Writers Retreat was a flagship development program which aimed to be the country’s premium development opportunity for new Australian plays. The goal of the program was to bring about a significant increase in the amount and originality of new Australian work performed at Belvoir and in the sector as a whole. Belvoir’s commissioned writers Tommy Murphy were given intensive support and development time with Anthea Williams and Eamon Flack from Belvoir.
