Read MoreBelinda Rule is a published writer of poetry and fiction.
Rule used her residency to work on a first book-length manuscript of poetry, tentatively titled, The cellophaned lamp. ‘The cellophaned lamp’ explores the way that meaning and relationship may be written affectively onto domestic objects and places, and the hurts and longings to which this makes us vulnerable. It addresses the moral, psychological and spiritual consequences of abuse and family estrangement, ultimately mobilising in the direction of humour and transformation.
