Read MoreFiona Lowry is an Australian artist recognised as a leading contemporary painter who airbrushes pale colours to portray landscapes with people in them. The landscapes are beautiful and ambiguous, provoking the dangerous side of wilderness.
During her residencies at Bundanon in 2013 and 2014, Lowry worked on a project based around the story of John ‘black’ Caesar a black slave from America who sought freedom with the British only to end up a convict in Australia.
Lowry was also in residence at Bundanon in 2008.
