Omer Backley-Astrachan joined ‘Kamea Dance Company’ as a leading dancer where he worked with choreographers: Uri Ivgi, Tamir Ginz, Lior Lev and more. In 2014 Omer moved to Australia with his wife Sharon where he worked with choreographer Dean Walsh.

Sharon and Omer Backley-Astrachan used their residence together to create a durational performance piece based on themes of the big bang, life and death, breath, heartbeat, the division of cells and more.

Backley-Astrachan was also in residence in 2015.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
