Using a multidisciplinary approach, Sue Beyer’s visual art practice primarily examines place and space. Beyer has held solo exhibitions in Brisbane and Melbourne, and participated in group shows in Australia, Singapore and the United States. Sue has been a finalist in multiple prizes, and was the winner of the Emerging artist category in the Stanthorpe Art Prize in 2014. Her work is part of numerous corporate and public collections including Artbank, an Australian Government art collection.

During her residency at Bundanon in 2013, Beyer explored the concept of heterotopia, a term used in human geography to describe places of otherness.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
