Read MoreSue Healey is a Sydney-based choreographer, film-maker and installation artist and received a Creative Fellowship in 2014 from the Australia Council for Arts. Experimenting with form and perception, Healey creates dance for diverse spaces and contexts: galleries, theatres and screens.
IN RESIDENCE 2019
At Bundanon, Healey (choreographer, film-maker and installation artist) worked with Raghav Handa (choreographer and performer), Reneta Commisso (dancer), Richard Paul Harvey AM FRS (molecular biologist), Anca Frankenhaeuser (deviser/director/choreographer/performer/ teacher) and Patrick Harding-Irmer (dancer) on a collaborative installation investigating light, film and choreography, exploring the movement of two and three dimensional bodies.
IN RESIDENCE 2017
In a collaborative residency together in 2017, Sue Healey was interested in contrasting movement with stillness: the movement of the dancer and the projection of Super-8 film, with the stillness of Jane Theau’s installation of figurative thread drawings that will be lit to throw a kaleidoscopic throng of shadows, creating a theatrical space that beckons interaction.
