Transform a simple piece of wood into a unique spoon for your kitchen. Guided by South Coast woodcarver Rachel Shaw, you will make a small carved spoon, perfect for scooping coffee or serving side dishes. Specialising in crafting beautiful, functional pieces like spoons, butter knives, pickle forks, and small dishes, Rachel transforms salvaged and reclaimed wood into one-of-a-kind creations.

What to wear:
• Closed in shoes
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dusty
• Full length pants preferred

This Spoon Carving Workshop is perfect for beginners who are curious about trying something new, with no prior experience needed. All materials, tools and equipment are included.

Rachel Shaw

Rachel Shaw is a wood carver and instructor based on the NSW South Coast. A former interior designer, Rachel turned to carving in 2018 as a way to find calm in a chaotic world and to teach others how carving can bring quiet to busy lives.

Working mainly with salvaged and reclaimed wood, Rachel transforms discarded materials into tactile, collectable pieces.
