Art Forms: Ceramics, Jewellery, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2025

Lives / Works: Sydney, Eora

Zoë Pollitt is an emerging contemporary jewellery designer whose work fuses conceptual and material exploration. A graduate of Enmore Design Centre TAFE, Jewellery and Object Design, her practice is shaped by Modernist aesthetics, Surrealist metaphors, Neuroscience, and the spirit of Punk. She creates evocative pieces in precious metals, designed not just to adorn but to provoke conversation and contemplation. At the core of Zoë’s work is an exploration of dualities—the fluidity and rigidity of metal reflecting the tensions within human emotion and experience. She is particularly drawn to the alchemical process of transmutation, where material transformation serves as a metaphor for psychological and philosophical shifts. Zoë’s work has been exhibited in both solo and group settings, including her solo exhibition Letterati at Windowsmiths Gallery and the group exhibition Intimacy at Gaffa Gallery in 2024. She has been recognized as a finalist in the National Contemporary Jewellery Awards and JMGA Profile, as well as receiving a Highly Commended distinction in the JMGA Graduate Metal Exhibition 2024.

Tash Tribe is an emerging ceramicist who graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts (Ceramics) from Northern Beaches TAFE in 2024. Drawn to the raw honesty of natural materials, Tash shapes beauty from the basic fabric of the Earth. Primal, immediate, and personal, her work explores a sensory connection to the natural world. Tash was selected as a finalist for the Saint Cloche Little Things Art Prize in 2022 and 2023, and her work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions, most recently at the 2024 NSW Parliament TAFE Fountain Court Exhibition. Her work has also appeared in BELLE and House & Garden magazines.

In Residence at Bundanon

As collaborative artists and designers we propose to embark on a creative exploration of interconnectedness during our residency at Bundanon. Our project revolves around the profound theme of being interconnected, drawing inspiration from nature and place, celestial concepts, cultural narratives, and the inherent bond between humanity and the natural world. During our time in residency, we aim to delve into the cosmic forces that shape our existence and highlight the intrinsic connection between all living beings. The residency also marks a reunion of our creative partnership, which has been successful for over 25 years. Our creative history started at Design school in Sydney in 1988 studying Visual Communication at UTS, then St Martins in London followed by five years in the Art Department at Vogue Australia. The

success of our collaboration saw us start a Creative Agency and Design studio, eskimo design, which we ran together for 20 years. After seven years apart, during which we focused on learning new skills in the arts, the opportunity to work together again in a conducive environment is both exciting and enriching. Drawing upon our shared history and creative synergy, we look forward to reigniting the collaborative spark and exploring new design and artistic horizons together.
