Raised in Western Sydney Kaz (they/them) is one of Australia’s leading performance makers and interdisciplinary artists, working across theatre, visual arts and dance. Their practice is grounded in art, ideas and social justice. In 2023 Kaz was supported by Creative Australia to research transformative matriarchal leadership practices in the arts leading to the creation of arts company WEREWOLF. In 2022 they presented their solo work SLEEPLESSNESS commissioned by Carriageworks.In 2013-2020 they were Artistic Director of PYT Fairfield & Founder of FUNPARK, Mt Druitt.

From2013-2020 they were Artistic Director of PYT Fairfield and in 2014 Founder of FUNPARK, Mt Druitt.

In residence at Bundanon

I will continue my research work Class Actions. Class Actions is a participatory social artistic project, exploring our shared and lived experiences of class via labour, trauma, love and care in an era of radical change. I specifically plan to focus on writing performative text around themes of ‘Class and Queerness’.
