I intend to conduct material research for the project “The Landlords of Cockaigne: What to Do When You Have Too Many Potatoes”. This project aims to envision a modest land of abundance, imagining if the tenants became landlords for themselves, exploring what to do when you have too many potatoes and looking at ways that people can be resourceful in times of abundance. I also hope to host public workshops to share my findings and invite participants to explore innovative uses for potatoes. During these workshops, I will facilitate discussions on topics such as the history of the potato, wealth, utopia, and gluttony.
