After many years Bridget Frawley returned to study to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Monash in 2016 and then Honours at RMIT in 2017. Frawley has had pieces exhibited in the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize (Sydney 2019), Lethbridge Small scale Art Award (2019), Wyndham Art Prize (2020) and the Sunshine Coast Art Prize (2020). She is also taking part in the Police Point group exhibition in September 2021.
Frawley had a number of projects in development for her 2021 residency. She has been working using heat and the discarded object to portray perceptions on individuals and random the marks that form traces of memory. Frawley will also work on small sculptures that have evolved from a love of patchwork and tapestry, combining two classic crafts to create modern sculptures. A third concept is the ‘Fear Of ‘series, which is in the very early stage.
