Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra

Bundanon is pleased to have Jazzgroove Mothership (JMO) in residence in 2009 in the lead up to their national tour. JMO will offer a unique concert to a privileged few at beautiful Riversdale. Book early as places are limited!

Nominated in both 2006 and 2007 at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival for Australian jazz ensemble of the year, it is undeniable that the Mothership Orchestra is the most consolidated assemblage of highly respected young improvising talent in Australia.

The Mothership's 18 members include ten National Jazz Award Finalists (including three winners); four Freedman Fellows (including two winners); an Australia Jazz Artist of the Year; a James Morrison Scholarship Winner; a finalist in the International Thelonius Monk Trumpet Competition; a finalist at the Hoolieart International Jazz Competition (Belgium) and three proud new fathers.
