Touched by the Earth: 2012 Siteworks Education initiative

Throughout 2012, Bundanon Trust will host Bomaderry High School 4e class for a special program called Touched by the earth. This is an enrichment program aimed at immersing a group of gifted and talented year seven and eight students in the rich environmental, historical and cultural heritage of Bundanon Trust. Informed by the pilot Art of Learning program conducted during 2010, the 2012 Touched by the earth program will involve students in cross-curriculum studies and research in geography, history and science enabled through the arts. The program will take place over four school terms during 2012, structured around a theme for each term. Integral to the program is the opportunity for the students to be involved with artists and scientists involved with Bundanon Trust’s SITEWORKS and personnel from the University of Wollongong faculties of Arts and Earth sciences.
