Sue Feary
- Heritage consultant Sue Feary has more than 20 years experience as a cultural heritage manager with a state regulatory authority (National Parks and Wildlife Service), with a focus on interpreting and applying heritage legislation, significance assessment, working with Aboriginal people and developers, and initiating complex negotiations to achieve acceptable outcomes in relation to protection of Aboriginal heritage in southern NSW.
- She has extensive experience in developing cooperative arrangements with indigenous Australians for the management of protected areas.
- Sue also has more than 20 years experience in undertaking field based archaeological research, designing surveys, predictive modelling for archaeological sites, systematic excavation, analysis of archaeological material, and presentation of results.
Sue has a particular interest in formulating mechanisms for integrating western science with customary practices in management of land and resources, including protected area management, forestry and subsistence agriculture.
